From the 20th to 23rd of June 2019, Europe's largest sports and culture festival for young people will return for the third time! The 2019 Ruhr Games will take place at the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park. The park will be lavishly converted into a giant multi-sport area to host an array of sports competitions, cultural events, and international youth meetings. 5,000 athletes between 14 and 23 years old will compete in front of tens of thousands of spectators. Starting on Corpus Christi Thursday, the events will span four action-packed days. No other event can be found like this in Europe!

The RUHR GAMES offers young athletes a unique and exciting professional event platform including Olympic competitive sports tournaments, open tournaments and sports shows for a total of 17 traditional and modern sports. Europe-wide registration for the top competitions is currently live. Around 450 medals will be awarded in over 160 individual competitions. Special highlights include the German Climbing Championship and the European Street Skateboarding Championship.

For the first time, this year’s participants will be represented by the newly created TalentTeamRuhr. The TalentTeamRuhr features one athlete from each of the RUHR GAMES disciplines.
