All in one city: In Duisburg, the sports stars of tomorrow, the hopefuls for the upcoming Olympic Games and young athletes who have already proven their sporting abilities, will be presented. In 16 sports with over 5600 athletes, the Ruhr Games 2019 will set new standards in international youth sports - with the largest youth sports festival in Europe. The young athletes will be given a very special stage to present themselves and their sport. Classic sports such as track and field athletics and soccer will be raised to a special platform, as will skateboarding and climbing. The competitions are international and mostly top-class. Compared to the last two events in 2015 and 2017, the sporting level will rise once again - not least because European Championships and German Championships will also be held as part of the Ruhr Games.
